Windermere Street Multi Family Structure Fire
At 8:32 a.m. on Friday, December 23, 2022, Local members responded to a reported apartment fire at 5519 S. Windermere St. in Littleton. Upon arrival, members observed heavy smoke billowing from a fire in the first-floor laundry room. Crews advanced a hose line inside and began searches of the smoke-filled structure. While the fire was being extinguished, members located 2 residents inside and brought them out to safety. The incident was quickly placed under control and thankfully no injuries occurred. 24 apartment units were displaced, and the American Red Cross was on scene assisting residents. Investigators were unable to determine what caused the fire.
