South Dayton St. Multi-Family Structure Fire
On March 6, 2023, at approximately 12:03 p.m., Local members were dispatched to a multi-family residential structure on S Dayton Street in Arapahoe County. When the caller reported smoke inside their basement and that their smoke alarms were sounding, dispatchers quickly advised the caller to evacuate their home. First arriving members reported active smoke, established a water supply and completed a primary search. The fire was contained to the basement area after checking for extension in the walls. The fire was investigated by the SMFR Fire Marshal’s Office and determined to be electrical in nature.
